Job Detail
Responsibilities
- Feeding fish by hand
- Grading fish by size and moving them to bigger tanks or ponds
- Checking and maintaining water quality
- Checking fish for disease, preventing, and treating infections
- Ensuring high hygiene standards to prevent disease
- Draining and cleaning tanks, filters, and nets
- Washing the ponds
- Keeping records of the numbers and sizes of fish stocked
- Assisting the manager in planning breeding programs and grow schedules
- Preparing fish for sale, gutting, and packing them in ice for transport
- Assisting in fish processing
- Maintaining buildings and equipment, involving basic joinery, plumbing, and electrical work
- Any other work as assigned by the farm manager
