As a Kitchen Assistant at HRPS, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, responsible for supporting the kitchen operations by assisting chefs and cooks in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs and cooks in preparing ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash regularly
  • Assist in food preparation tasks, including peeling, cutting, and marinating ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff
  • Stock and replenish kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring that items are readily available for use
  • Follow proper food handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure food safety
  • Help with basic cooking tasks, such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and appetizers, under the supervision of senior kitchen staff
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain a positive and efficient working environment
  • Handle kitchen equipment and utensils with care, ensuring they are cleaned and stored properly after use
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies, checking for quality and accuracy
  • Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management to support the overall operation of the kitchen
