We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Grocery Store Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our retail grocery store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the retail grocery market, a commitment to quality, and the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising employees, managing finances, controlling product quality, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your duties will include overseeing the ordering, receiving, stocking, and displaying of products to maximize profits, maintaining store cleanliness, and adhering to all food safety processes. Job Detail
Responsibilities
- Overseeing salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers, and other employees
- Keeping records of expenditure, sales figures, and employee performance
- Evaluating the supply and availability of stocks, and profit margins
- Implementing measures to avoid stock damages, theft, and wastage
- Monitoring shelf stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store
- Investigating market trends and offering products that would appeal to customers
- Addressing customers' requests, comments, and complaints
- Motivating employees to achieve targets
- Reviewing sales goals, supply costs, stock loss/shrink results, and goals
- Preparing, packaging, stocking store, and displaying merchandise appropriately
- Ensuring price change compliance
- Ensuring food safety compliance
- Ordering manually ordered items
- Supervising, training, and managing store staff
- Ensuring all products are accurately priced and sales prices are up to date
- Providing consultation to customers regarding consumer products
- Ensuring the backroom and butchery are neat and organized
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ensuring team members are thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs
- Promoting a safe work environment
- Training new staff members and scheduling shifts
- Performing other daily tasks as required
