We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR/Admin Officer to join our team in Asaba, Delta State. The ideal candidate will manage the full spectrum of HR and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations while fostering a positive work environment.

The HR/Admin Officer will be responsible for recruitment and selection, onboarding and orientation, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, HR policies and compliance, HR information systems, attendance and leave management, employee engagement and wellness, health and safety, administrative support, legal compliance, conflict resolution, and employee separation.

Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring of qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, including paperwork, orientation sessions, and introductions to company policies and procedures.
  • Handle employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances. Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolutions between employees and managers.
  • Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
  • Identify training needs, coordinate training sessions, and facilitate employee development programs to enhance skills and competencies.
  • Manage employee compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonus plans, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Keep abreast of changes in employment legislation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and information in HRIS Human Resources Information System databases. Generate reports and analyze HR metrics.
  • Track employee attendance, vacations, sick leave, and other absences. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to foster employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being. Organize employee events and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Coordinate safety training, conduct risk assessments, and implement measures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Provide general administrative support to the organization, such as managing office supplies, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Stay informed about employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure that HR practices and policies align with legal requirements.
  • Address conflicts and disputes among employees or between employees and management. Mediate discussions and work towards mutually beneficial resolutions.
  • Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews, processing final payments, and facilitating smooth transitions.

Qualifications
