With a robust portfolio in power generation, electrical infrastructures, industrial equipment, elevators & escalators, and HVAC solutions, we are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to meet the development needs of the African market.

As a Sales Representative at JMG Limited, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our extensive range of products and services to market dealers and a wide range of customers. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with new and existing clients. This position requires a proactive and results-driven individual who is adept at identifying business opportunities, negotiating sales deals, and achieving sales targets.

Your role will involve performing sales activities on major accounts, negotiating sales prices and discounts, and developing sales forecast plans that align with the company's overall business strategy. You will also be tasked with identifying key business metrics for sales by territory and brand, managing product lines to maximize sales revenues, and staying current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

To excel in this role, you must possess strong wholesales experience, key account management skills, and excellent networking abilities. You will be required to prepare reports, provide customer support, resolve customer complaints, and contribute to financial process excellence. Additionally, you will enhance staff accomplishments by mentoring less experienced team members and collaborating with the Branch Sales Manager to control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell the company's products and services to market dealers and a wide range of customers.
  • Build and maintain positive and long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Establish contact and develop relationships with existing and new prospects and close sales deals.
  • Perform sales activities on major accounts and negotiate sales prices and discounts.
  • Develop a sales forecast plan that successfully meets the company's overall business plan and strategy.
  • Identify, define, collect, and track key business metrics for sales by territory and brands.
  • Manage product lines to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Prepare reports by collecting other vendors/competitors' price lists for comparison.
  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Contribute to financial process excellence and increase customer satisfaction by building scores for measurement and conducting customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Prepare and submit periodic sales reports to the Manager.
  • Enhance staff accomplishments and competence by planning the delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending trade fairs and related exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Sales Manager to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses.
  • Enhance sales and collection with control over debtors.
  • Plan and forecast sales and collections.
  • Plan and achieve sales objectives based on targets.
