Ascentech Services Ltd, a premier provider of recruitment and selection services, is currently seeking a diligent and dedicated Tilesetter Helper to join our team in Benin City, Edo. As a Tilesetter Helper, you will play a crucial role in assisting skilled tradesmen with the installation and maintenance of various types of tiles. Your responsibilities will include preparing work areas, mixing materials, and ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently and safely.
In this role, you will assist in shaping, measuring, and assembling materials, as well as delivering or holding tools and materials to help tradesmen. You will be responsible for aligning and straightening tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges. Additionally, you will load and unload construction materials, move them to designated work areas, and clean up job sites after work is completed.
Your tasks will also involve building under beds, installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets, and mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as cement and mortar. You will select tools, equipment, and materials from storage and transport them to the work site, mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces, and perform other activities as directed by tradesmen. You will also prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, assist in laying tiles on walls, floors, and ceilings, and cut and fit tiles around obstacles using hand and power-cutting tools. Additionally, you will remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
To be successful in this role, you should have the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment, outstanding attention to detail, and the capacity to walk, stand, and crouch for long periods. You should also be able to carry out strenuous physical tasks, work long hours while sitting on your knees, and handle lifting, pulling, and carrying of equipment and other objects. A willingness to work outdoors, indoors, and in all weather conditions is essential.

Responsibilities
