We are currently seeking an Audit Support professional to join our team in Asaba. The ideal candidate will assist in planning and executing internal audits, conducting tests of controls and substantive testing to assess internal controls and policy compliance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Job Detail
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing internal audits following established procedures.
- Conduct tests of controls and substantive testing to assess internal controls and policy compliance.
- Collect and analyze audit evidence with accuracy and relevance to objectives.
- Record audit findings, including issues, risks, and suggested enhancements.
- Apply data analysis tools and techniques to extract, manipulate, and analyze data for audits.
- Identify patterns, anomalies, and trends in data that may indicate areas for improvement.
- Engage in risk assessment to pinpoint key risk areas in organizational processes.
- Aid in developing risk-focused audit plans and strategies to tackle identified risks.
- Work with cross-functional teams to grasp business processes and controls.
- Effectively communicate with departmental staff to gather information and offer audit-related guidance.
- Manage precise and structured audit documentation, including workpapers, findings, and conclusions.
- Ensure documentation adheres to internal standards and industry best practices.
- Support in crafting clear and concise audit reports, summarizing findings and improvement suggestions.
- Present findings to senior auditors and management, as necessary.

Qualifications
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting
- 2-4 years of experience in auditing or a related field
