We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Supervisor to join our client's team in Calabar, Cross River. Job Detail
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and uphold health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and environmental concerns in the workplace.
- Coordinate and carry out employee training programs on health, safety, and environmental awareness, including emergency response procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Work together with management and department heads to ensure effective implementation of HSE policies and procedures across the organization.
- Maintain records and documentation related to HSE activities, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory permits.
- Monitor and assess workplace exposures to hazardous materials and formulate control measures to minimize risks to employees and the environment.
- Stay updated on changes in HSE regulations and industry best practices and convey updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to employees to foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
