We are seeking a top-notch Automation Electrician to join our team in Mfamosing, Cross River. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in installing and repairing electrical wiring, diagnosing problems with rig electrical systems, repairing damaged electrical parts, and maintaining electrical components for mobile equipment. The role requires a good eye for detail and the ability to solve complex electrical problems. The successful candidate will be skilled in using electrical schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical faults and implement final solutions in mobile plants.

Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Maintain mobile equipment in good working condition by following preventive and corrective maintenance schedules according to OEM.
  • Break down complex electrical information into simpler parts for team members with little or no understanding of rig system operations.
  • Locate and remove defective parts for skilled adjustment, repair, or replacement.
  • Correct faults and maximize performance by rebuilding engine, electric, and individual components.
  • Turn mobile plant electric systems and components to optimize functionality and prolong the life of each piece.
  • Perform regular maintenance and address any engine-related electrical issues to keep the rig running smoothly.
  • Conduct auto electrical maintenance and repairs activities and system evaluations on mobile equipment safely.
  • Perform routine electrical wire checks and test equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards of OEM.
  • Conduct periodic mechanical and electrical instruments inspections on mobile plant systems to ensure they function properly at all times.
  • Develop solutions and rebuild equipment electrical systems, ensuring good rig maintenance and repairs whenever inspection is carried out on mobile equipment.
  • Read and interpret assembly electrical diagrams to determine lasting solutions to mobile plants, auto greasing systems, and electromechanical equipment.
  • Repair and replace faulty electrical components with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with OEM standards.
  • Ensure company working hours and good shift timings are maintained.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and good safe practices are applied at work.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing electrical components for mobile equipment.

Education Requirements

  • National Diploma coupled with experience in a similar industry.

  • Over 5-8 years of work experience in the heavy mobile plant industry.

Skills

  • Good working knowledge of CAT, Cummins diesel engines, and equipment.
  • Ability to carry out faulty diagnosis on diesel engines, hydraulic, and transmission systems.
  • Good knowledge of possible diagnostic tools SIS, ET, processes, etc.
  • Good knowledge of safety regulations and rules applicable in an industrial area.
