The Multisector Programme Manager in Maiduguri, Nigeria, will hold a critical leadership position within INTERSOS. This role requires the management and technical oversight of operational planning, implementation, monitoring, accountability, and reporting of projects in North-East and North-West Nigeria. The successful candidate will coordinate closely with various departments to ensure seamless field operations, aligning with INTERSOS’s standards and donor requirements.

Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and supervise project staff for operational planning and service delivery.
  • Ensure timely and quality implementation and monitoring of multisectoral projects.
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess program quality and progress.
  • Monitor financial expenditures and budget management.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials necessary for project activities.
  • Plan and distribute tasks and workload among teams.
  • Ensure compliance with INTERSOS internal rules, donor regulations, and international humanitarian standards.
  • Supervise the use and longevity of project material resources.
  • Monitor risks and threats related to projects, analyzing political decisions and negotiations.
  • Participate in technical coordination meetings and working groups.
  • Provide technical supervision and guidance to the medical team.
  • Ensure proper application of HR policies and processes.
  • Identify training needs and provide individual follow-up and coaching.
  • Develop regular reports, including donor reporting and monthly Project Appraisal Tool (PAT) and sitreps.
  • Ensure accurate data collection and timely reporting for all project activities.

  • Extensive working experience in Project Cycle Management.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and multi-donor grants.
  • Experience in financial monitoring and reporting.
  • Experience working in security-hostile environments.
  • Experience with IDPs or refugees.
