With a sprawling 3,000-hectare oil palm plantation and a state-of-the-art processing facility, including a palm oil mill and palm kernel crushing plant, Norsworthy Farms is committed to producing high-quality palm products while fostering sustainable agricultural practices.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Officer to join our dynamic team. The IT Support Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the network infrastructure of Norsworthy Farms, as well as handling the acquisition, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computer hardware devices. The role also involves managing all software applications running on the hardware devices to ensure they provide adequate support to Norsworthy Farms in achieving its set objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in the information technology department of a similar organization, possess a Bachelor's Degree/HND in Computer Science or a related discipline, and preferably reside within Asaba and its environs. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work efficiently under pressure.

Job Detail
Responsibilities
- Provide robust IT platforms and infrastructure to support Norsworthy Farms' business operations.
- Assist in implementing IT strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Provide technical support to users on network issues.
- Administer day-to-day operations of networks and servers.
- Implement LAN/WAN maintenance and management procedures.
- Establish and maintain user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges on company applications.
- Install, support, and maintain physical servers and appliances.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of computer networks within Norsworthy Farms.
- Oversee the Enterprise Security application Sophos for Norsworthy Farms.
- Maintain computer peripheral equipment such as scanners, printers, ensuring they are prepared and ready for use.
- Assist the Head of Information Technology in deploying computer hardware around the company.
- Maintain logs and records of daily data communication transactions, problems, and remedial actions.
- Provide support and maintenance to the business' software and applications.
- Create accounts for new users in the company's active directory server and assign access rights to software applications.
- Install client/server applications and essential software patches, carry out any required maintenance of applications, and identify compatibility issues, escalating as appropriate.
- Supervise and perform hands-on training for computer users and operators.
- Develop and execute company-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plans with respect to software, data, and applications.
- Perform the addition, removal, and updates of staff data and access rights in line with the information security policy.
