As an Inventory Officer at Max Drive in Abeokuta, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of all inventory-related tasks. Your role will include receiving, storing, and issuing goods, managing stock levels, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. You will use computerized systems to enter records and ensure the accuracy and completeness of supply invoices compared to purchase orders. Additionally, you will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, managing surplus or obsolete stocks, and reconciling physical stock with book records.
This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality. You will prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to management, supervise the offloading process, and ensure the correct valuation of inventory. Your role will also involve updating the City Inventory Management Database, inspecting items received from suppliers, and ensuring quality conformance. Job Detail
Responsibilities
- Receive, store, and issue goods, managing stock levels
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports to management
- Maintain stock records using computerized systems
- Check supply invoices against purchase orders
- Source suppliers and obtain quotes
- Manage surplus or obsolete stocks
- Maintain records of receipts and issuance of items
- Reconcile physical stock with book records
- Ensure zero discrepancy between purchase orders and supplier invoices
- Oversee the stacking of goods in an orderly system
- Undertake stock taking and confirm periodic stock levels
- Supervise offloading, packing, and unpacking processes
- Update the City Inventory Management Database
- Ensure safekeeping of all asset spare keys
- Retrieve trackers from storage upon receiving a filled requisition form
- Inspect items received from suppliers and ensure quality conformance
- Update bin cards for each SKU
