As the Nursing Team Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and supervision of vaccination activities within the region. You will work closely with the Ministry of Health (MoH) supervisor and other stakeholders to lead and supervise multiple vaccination teams. Your responsibilities will include ensuring efficient deployment of teams, adherence to vaccination protocols and safety standards, and effective management of logistics and stock movements. Additionally, you will oversee quality assurance measures, community engagement efforts, and accurate data collection and reporting.

The Nursing Team Supervisor will participate in site planning and activity timetables, conduct health facility assessments, and develop training plans for vaccination teams. You will lead end-of-day debriefings, monitor team performance, and ensure adherence to MSF and MoH guidelines. The role requires strong leadership skills to provide guidance, support, and mentorship to vaccination teams, promoting a respectful and welcoming environment during vaccination activities.

Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Participate in site planning and activity timetable development.
  • Conduct health facility assessments as required.
  • Develop training plans and content for vaccination teams.
  • Lead and supervise multiple vaccination teams, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct end-of-day debriefings to address challenges and concerns.
  • Coordinate logistical deployment of vaccination teams across different sites.
  • Ensure effective crowd control and management of cold chain at vaccination sites.
  • Manage stock movements and ensure adherence to waste management procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to vaccination protocols, safety standards, and infection control measures.
  • Report adverse effects and needle-stick injuries according to established mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with Health Promotion and Community Engagement teams to engage stakeholders.
  • Address community concerns, misconceptions, and barriers to vaccination.
  • Ensure accurate data collection, registration, and reporting at all vaccination sites.
  • Participate in daily data analysis and maintain communication with nursing activity manager.
