We are seeking a competent and experienced Driver to join our team in Sokoto, Nigeria.

As a Driver with MSF, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of personnel and goods, adhering strictly to MSF security protocols and local traffic regulations. You will maintain MSF vehicles in optimal condition through regular checks and maintenance, ensuring all necessary documentation and safety equipment are in place before each journey. Your role will also involve supporting MSF activities related to healthcare delivery, including the transportation of medical personnel and supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily technical checks on assigned vehicle and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Ensure all passengers have necessary paperwork before travel and obtain disclaimers from non-MSF staff.
  • Drive carefully and adhere to speed limits and traffic rules to prevent accidents.
  • Ensure correct loading and unloading procedures, document submissions, and goods status checks.
  • Maintain valid vehicle documents and driver's license within the vehicle.
  • Report any incidents involving vehicle transportation promptly to line manager.
  • Use communication equipment effectively and comply with MSF communication policies.
  • Know and adhere to security rules related to vehicle movements, customs, checkpoints, and roadblocks.
  • Support MSF supplementary activities, showing flexibility in task assignments.
