Dovewell Oilfield Services Limited, a leading provider of comprehensive oilfield solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Bid Administrator and Tendering Specialist to join our team in Port Harcourt, Rivers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, ensuring the seamless execution of bidding and tendering processes essential for securing business opportunities and driving company growth.

As a Bid Administrator and Tendering Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our procurement and tendering operations. You will be responsible for receiving and sourcing Requests for Quotations (RFQs) accurately, obtaining quotes from suppliers, and preparing and submitting quotations to clients. Your expertise will be pivotal in preparing and submitting project technical and commercial tenders to the winning stage via NIPEX and other platforms.

You will work within established supply chain procedures for requisition processing, validation, payment, delivery, and invoicing. Liaising with field staff and clients to generate RFQs and commercial intelligence for tenders will be a crucial part of your role. Maintaining a comprehensive filing system, expediting orders placed with suppliers for faster completion, and ensuring all ready goods are freighted in-country with correct specifications and documentation for final delivery to clients are essential responsibilities.

Ensuring products and services comply with regulatory and quality standards, preparing and processing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and discovering profitable suppliers to initiate procurement partnerships will also be part of your duties. Your negotiation skills with external vendors will be key to securing advantageous terms, controlling spend, and building a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.

This role requires a professional who can prepare and submit technical and commercial bids to clients, source and select reliable freight forwarders for effective and on-time delivery of consignments, and approve reliable vendors for procurement or service purposes. You will appraise local vendors' ability through onsite visits and measurement, prepare and process purchase orders in line with organizational policies, and support relevant departments with quotations for tendering.

Expediting outstanding purchase orders to ensure delivery requirements are met, coordinating and resolving problems with end-user departments, managing and following up on all overseas orders, and liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs are integral parts of the role. Nurturing relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for the company, identifying and researching potential new suppliers, and submitting weekly progress reports to ensure data accuracy are also expected.

Finally, you will perform any other functions that may be assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the procurement and tendering operations.
