The Weigh Bridge Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate weighing of all incoming and outgoing vehicles using weighbridge software. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle logistical duties effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate weighbridge records, generating daily reports, and ensuring site compliance with health, safety, and environmental rules. Additionally, the operator will be tasked with capturing tare and gross weights for outbound trucks, issuing appropriate documentation, and coordinating vehicle deliveries.
Job Detail
Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh all incoming and outgoing vehicles via the use of weighbridge software.
- Create truck weighbridge entry into DDS and SAP for inbound trucks.
- Capture tare and gross weights for outbound trucks and issue appropriate documents.
- Direct trucks according to queue tokens issued.
- Maintain appropriate weighbridge records for all inbound and outbound materials.
- Retain and take responsibility for all documents related to cement dispatches.
- Generate and circulate accurate daily weighbridge reports.
- Report and escalate weighbridge system failures.
- Ensure site compliance with health, safety, and environmental rules.
- Maintain specific environmental and health and safety records.
- Provide other logistical duties and supporting roles as may be deemed necessary by the supervisor.
- Coordinate and schedule the delivery of vehicles.
- Generate customer invoices, statements, purchase orders, and supplier payments.

Qualifications
- OND/HND/BSc in Logistics and Transport or equivalent.
