LD&D CONSULTING, a leading project management consulting firm, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations for a microfinance bank located in Lekki, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall operations of the bank, ensuring effective cash management, loan processing and disbursement, customer service, operational risk management, and regulatory compliance. The Head of Operations will lead the operations team, develop and implement policies and procedures, and work closely with the management team to set strategic goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall operations of the microfinance bank, including cash management, loan processing, customer service, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with internal, external, and regulatory audits and examinations.
- Ensure effective and efficient deployment of branches, team development, and implementation of the micro-finance code of conduct.
- Develop strategies to minimize customer complaints and manage the public image of the Company.
- Liaise with the Financial Controller to ensure timely preparation of annual budgets, quarterly budget reviews, forecasts, and business plans.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with potential and existing customers to strengthen the Company's customer base.
- Analyze the business environment and recommend the development of new products and enhancement of existing products.
- Appraise the operational system and monitor the implementation of the Company's operation manuals, recommending changes as necessary.
- Coordinate branch activities and provide on-the-job training to department staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

Qualifications
- Proven skills and competencies in practical microfinance banking.
- Certification in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is desirable.
- Professional maturity and strong leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Experience in innovative payment mechanisms and understanding of FinTech laws and regulations in Nigeria.
- High level of trust and ability to drive best practices with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding project management and leadership skills.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of business models.
- Strong knowledge of the Fintech/Start-ups ecosystem.
- Good understanding of CBN/NIDC and other regulatory landscapes.
- Deep knowledge of retail banking operations, retail products, and commercialization.
- Conversant with Bank 1 core banking application.
Education Requirements
- Minimum of a First Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
- Additional qualifications in business-related disciplines would be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience in the financial services industry.
- At least 2 years of experience at the management level.
- Proven operational experience in a FinTech or financial institution.
