Our mission is to empower underserved communities with the necessary tools to lead healthier lives. We are currently seeking a Coordinator for Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) to join our dynamic team in Kano, Nigeria. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring the implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) commitments across our projects.

As the MERL Coordinator, you will work closely with the Manager of MERL to oversee the M&E components of eHA’s projects. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining monitoring systems, collecting and analyzing data, and ensuring that findings are integrated into project implementations. Your role will also include performing qualitative and quantitative research, reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.

We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of working with minimal supervision and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight and support for the establishment and maintenance of routine monitoring systems.
  • Present findings to program management and develop project-specific results frameworks.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in research study protocols and establish operating policies and procedures.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative research, analysis, and report development.
  • Monitor the progress of research activities and prepare periodic and ad hoc reports.
  • Analyze data to develop solutions for healthcare research, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Conduct literature reviews and secondary research initiatives.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of research and data collection activities.
  • Act as the primary administrative point of contact for internal research staff and operational liaison for external organizations.
  • Collaborate with project and support staff to ensure logically sound and beneficiary-informed project designs.
  • Track progress on action points related to implementation and M&E activities.
  • Provide M&E inputs for reports during project implementation.
  • Share reports with donors and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated use of Advanced Excel, Tableau, STATA, Nvivo, and PowerBI.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology, demography, statistics, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.

Experience Requirements
