We are currently seeking an EOC Admin to join our team in Kaduna, Nigeria.

The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Admin plays a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering a range of administrative and technical services to support the operations of the EOC. This role acts as the primary contact for operational and administrative matters, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing technical equipment, facilitating meetings and events, maintaining filing systems, and providing essential support to the EOC Office Manager and partners.

The EOC Admin must possess a high level of proficiency in various software applications, exceptional communication skills, and a flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of the role, including on-call availability and willingness to work during holidays. This position requires a detail-oriented team player with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary administrative contact and liaison with internal and external entities.
  • Facilitate meetings, conferences, and special events.
  • Manage technical equipment, daily task managers, and email reminders.
  • Maintain filing systems and prepare documents.
  • Oversee supplies, equipment, and facilities.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the EOC Office Manager and partners.
  • Ensure smooth operation of network hardware, software applications, telecommunication infrastructure, and security systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of technical administrative support experience, preferably within an International NGO or an equivalent setting.
  • Proficiency in software knowledge and troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication skills through various channels including verbal, mobile phone, pager, and direct connect/radio.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible schedule including on-call availability and willingness to work holidays.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management, or related fields.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of technical administrative support experience, preferably within an International NGO or an equivalent setting.
