We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Surgeon to join our team in Warri, Nigeria. This role is responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients in the hospital. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of surgical experience and will be capable of performing a wide range of general surgical procedures including, but not limited to, Laparotomies, Appendectomies, Herniorrhaphies, Herniotomy, Cholecystectomy, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy, Hemorrhoidectomy, and other General surgery procedures.
The General Surgeon will evaluate patients' medical histories, diagnose illnesses, determine treatment plans, and provide pre- and post-operative care. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential to ensure comprehensive patient care. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations, staying updated with advancements in surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices, and participating actively in surgical research and publications.

Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures including Laparotomies, Appendectomies, Herniorrhaphies, Herniotomy, Cholecystectomy, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy, Hemorrhoidectomy, and other General surgery procedures.
- Evaluate patients' medical histories, diagnose illnesses, and determine treatment plans.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated with advancements in surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
- Participate in surgical research and publications.

Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a General Surgery residency program.
- Board certification in General Surgery.
- License to practice medicine from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- Specialist qualification with Fellow National Postgraduate College of Surgery, Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons, or Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons.
- Proven experience performing a wide range of general surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Evidence of competence in the management of general surgery and active participation in surgical research (e.g., publications and journals).
Education Requirements
- Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a General Surgery residency program.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of surgical experience.
- Proven experience performing a wide range of general surgical procedures.
