As the Finance Coordinator, you will ensure the financial coordination of the mission, which includes monitoring procedures and compliance, proposal budgeting, financial reporting, monthly budget follow-up review, financial forecasting, and projections. This role presents several challenges, such as the financial coordination of a mission with several sub-bases, including limited access, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the mission in an ever-changing donor dynamic.

In the first 2-3 months, the priorities include financial reporting of terminated grants and financial landing on the ending ones, as well as the implementation of shared costs follow-up mechanisms. This position requires strong financial management skills, the ability to build budgets with multidisciplinary teams, and the capacity to work under pressure. Additionally, patience, self-control, and a solution-oriented mindset are essential. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of any local language spoken in Nigeria is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial management of the mission.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and donor procedures.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets for proposals.
  • Produce financial reports for the mission.
  • Conduct monthly budget follow-ups and reviews.
