As part of our ongoing efforts, we are seeking a Market Linkage Consultant to conduct a comprehensive market linkage analysis for women and adolescent girls engaged in small micro gardening and fish farming in Mubi North and South. The objective of this consultancy is to identify potential buyers and market actors who are willing to purchase gardening products and fish from these women and girls, particularly those exiting armed groups. The consultant will play a pivotal role in developing strategies to create sustainable market linkages, thereby empowering these women and girls to achieve economic stability.
The Market Linkage Consultant will be responsible for conducting a thorough analysis of the agricultural market in Mubi North and South. This will involve reviewing existing research, identifying key stakeholders, designing and administering surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and mapping the market to visualize the supply chain and identify potential linkages. The consultant will also be required to write a comprehensive report detailing their findings, recommendations, and a market linkage strategy.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s or Ph.D. degree with 5-8 years of relevant work experience. They should have a strong background in market analysis, data collection, and stakeholder engagement, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality reports and strategic recommendations.

- Conduct a literature review on the agricultural market in Mubi North and South.
- Identify key stakeholders, including household consumers, wholesalers, retailers, and other market actors.
- Design and administer surveys to gather data on purchasing habits, preferences, and willingness to buy from women and adolescent girls exiting armed groups.
- Collect data through surveys, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews.
- Analyze data to identify market trends, consumer preferences, and potential buyers.
- Create a market map to visualize the supply chain and identify potential market linkages.
- Write a comprehensive market linkage analysis report.
- Develop a market linkage strategy outlining potential partnerships and business opportunities.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of all deliverables.
