We are currently seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Information Management Officer to join our team in Yola, Adamawa.

As an M&E Information Management Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting data collection and the implementation of quality checklists across various programs, including WASH, food security, livelihoods, education, shelter, information counselling, and legal assistance. You will also supervise enumerators, analyze raw data from assessments, and provide direct support to the Monitoring and Evaluation Team Lead based in Maiduguri.

Your responsibilities will include developing data collection methodologies and tools, supporting the digitalization of data collection processes, managing data in collaboration with core competencies' data assistants, and ensuring timely reporting of monitoring data. You will also support beneficiary targeting and registration, supervise distributions, and participate in post-distribution monitoring activities.

We are looking for individuals with at least three years of experience in an international NGO, preferably in emergency or post-conflict settings. You should have strong knowledge of current monitoring and evaluation approaches in relief and development programs, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in English. Additionally, familiarity with data management tools such as ArcGIS, Stata, Nvivo, CAPI systems (Kobo/ODK/CSPro), and data visualization software like Power BI is highly desirable.

Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines, and standards
  • Implement operational M&E activities in collaboration with Core Competency technical officers and assistants
  • Document M&E activities of Core Competencies
  • Contribute to the implementation of M&E systems and tools
  • Ensure activities are implemented within NRC's Safe and Inclusive Programming Guidelines
  • Develop data collection methodology and tools, and participate in data collection
  • Support digitalization of data collection and electronic data warehousing
  • Manage data in collaboration with core competencies' data assistants
  • Report monitoring data to the technical M&E Coordinator for quality checks
  • Support targeting and registration of beneficiaries
  • Supervise distributions in collaboration with program staff
  • Support post-distribution monitoring activities
