As an Ophthalmic Resident at Eye Foundation Hospital, you will undergo residency training under the West Africa College of Surgeons and National Postgraduate College of Nigeria training curriculum. Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Participate in residency training programs under the West Africa College of Surgeons and National Postgraduate College of Nigeria training curriculum.
  • Provide patient care under the supervision of senior ophthalmologists.
  • Engage in research and academic activities.
  • Participate in outreach programs and community eye care initiatives.
  • Assist in surgeries and other clinical procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient histories.
  • Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and case discussions.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree from an accredited university within Nigeria or equivalent from a university or medical college abroad recognized by the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council (NMDC).
  • Must have passed National or West Africa Primaries in Ophthalmology.
  • Must have completed NYSC (National Youth Service Corps).

Education Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of National or West Africa Primaries in Ophthalmology.

Experience Requirements

  • Prior clinical experience in ophthalmology is preferred but not mandatory.
