In the Sokoto region, MSF is dedicated to providing critical medical and humanitarian assistance to communities in need. As part of our commitment to these communities, we are seeking a dedicated and motivated Supervisor - Medical Data Entry to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and reliable recording of medical data, supervising data entry officers, and providing technical support and training.

The Supervisor - Medical Data Entry will be responsible for organizing and planning the activities of data entry officers to maintain a reliable record of medical activities. This includes identifying their training and technical support needs to ensure high-quality service support and data reliability. The role involves collating and entering all data identified by project managers for collection, such as morbidity, mortality, surveillance of epidemic diseases, nutrition, psychological health, and women's health, into the appropriate data management system.

The Supervisor - Medical Data Entry will perform quality control on the performance of data entry officers regularly, ensure proper use of recording software, and maintain the accuracy of the medical data entered into the mission's database. The role also includes providing technical support to data entry officers/operators in project sites and responding to their training needs.

In addition, the Supervisor - Medical Data Entry will provide regular statistical reports for the medical team, inform superiors of any missing information or major changes in data, and support the development and implementation of data process flows from data collection to reporting. The role also involves ensuring the organization of data flow and processing of paper forms from numerous data collection teams daily, compiling rapid daily and detailed weekly summary reports on vaccination activities, and supporting the training of registrars and data entry operators on relevant tools for data collection and entry.

Job Detail

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, organize, and plan the activity of Data Entry officers.
  • Identify training and technical support needs for Data Entry officers.
  • Ensure collation and entry of all data identified by project managers.
  • Perform quality control on Data Entry officers' performance.
  • Ensure proper use of recording software (e.g., Fuchia, Epi Info).
  • Maintain the accuracy of the medical data entered into the mission's database.
  • Provide technical support to Data Entry officers/operators in project sites.
  • Provide regular statistical reports for the medical team.
  • Inform superiors of any missing information or major changes in data.
  • Support the development and implementation of data process flows.
  • Organize data flow and processing of paper forms from data collection teams.
  • Compile rapid daily and detailed weekly summary reports on vaccination activities.
  • Support training of registrars and Data Entry operators on relevant tools.
  • Supervise data collection during medical activities.
  • Provide technical support to staff involved with data collection in MSF-supported health facilities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
