MSF is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Project Coordinator Assistant to join our team in Sokoto, Nigeria. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Project Coordinator in the administrative aspects of coordination tasks, ensuring smooth relations with local and national authorities, contributing to context analysis and follow-up, and providing translations and interpreting services to ensure the smooth running of the project.

As a Project Coordinator Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on key issues such as security and risk to the Project Coordinator and supporting in analyzing contextual information. You will maintain and update field contacts and correspondence with other NGOs, UN agencies, local authorities, and media to ensure information accuracy and availability on a regular basis. Additionally, you will assist the Project Coordinator in drafting correspondences with authorities and counterparts to ensure fluent and accurate communication flows.

You will also be involved in internal and external communication sessions and events about MSF for national staff, Ministry of Health staff, and local authorities to improve awareness and public opinion adhesion. Ensuring the continuity of relations with local actors and keeping the list of contacts updated will be crucial in this role. You will organize advocacy contacts and appointments for the Project Coordinator with local authorities and partners to maintain these relationships.

Your role will include executing clerk-related activities, preparing and conducting briefings on the project context to new employees, and translating documents and interpreting when needed. This position requires a high level of flexibility, commitment, and the ability to manage stress effectively in a challenging environment.
