The main objectives and responsibilities of the Supply Chain Supervisor position involve planning and supervising the execution of supply chain activities in the project or capital. This includes order management, procurement, transport and customs, and stock management according to MSF protocols and standards. The role ensures the optimal functioning of the mission by maintaining an efficient supply chain system.

As the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring the implementation of supply activities in the project, ensuring compliance with MSF standards, protocols, and procedures. You will manage order administration, purchase management, transport and customs, and stock management. You will also be responsible for communicating with customers, coordinating and leading the team, and supporting HR processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure day-to-day implementation and administration of assigned supply chain activities.
  • Manage order administration, including filing, archiving, processing, and follow-up of orders.
  • Oversee procurement, including market assessments, contracts, supplier evaluations, and communication with local suppliers.
  • Ensure the clearing and transport of medical and non-medical goods and provide information on timelines for administrative procedures concerning import and customs clearance.
  • Control quality and costs of orders, determine quantities of products to buy, and monitor stock levels.
  • Communicate with customers, keep them updated on order status, and prioritize procurement and transport according to their needs.
  • Coordinate and lead the team, define tasks, supervise daily activities, and check the quality of their work.
  • Support HR processes, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and communication.
  • Support supplementary activities related to the MSF vaccination program.
  • Show flexibility in task development.
