Kyosk, a tech-led company revolutionizing the FMCG distribution chain, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sourcing Manager-Farm to join our team in Kano, Nigeria. Kyosk connects informal retailers and similar outlets directly with FMCGs, leveraging our digital-first platform to ensure retail outlets have access to stock at competitive prices delivered directly to them. We address the inefficiencies in the traditional distribution chain, which are often costly and lead to stock-outs and lost sales opportunities for FMCGs. By providing real-time data visibility, we optimize the supply chain for both retailers and FMCGs.
In addition to enhancing the distribution chain, Kyosk is committed to financial inclusion for millions of informal retailers and consumers across Africa through fintech innovations. Our goal is to fully digitize payment collections and reconciliations, driving towards 100% digitized payments.
The Sourcing Manager-Farm will be responsible for optimizing agricultural product procurement, building strong relationships with farmers, and ensuring the cost-effective and timely acquisition of high-quality crops. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the procurement process.
Job Detail
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a sourcing strategy to secure high-quality crops at competitive prices.
- Identify and establish new farmer partnerships.
- Analyze market trends and negotiate contracts.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with farmers.
- Understand farmers' needs and challenges, working collaboratively to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Streamline the farm-to-table procurement process to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to manage inventory levels based on production needs and seasonal variations.
- Implement procedures to ensure consistent product quality throughout the supply chain.
- Conduct regular farm inspections and partner with farmers to improve agricultural practices.
- Negotiate favorable pricing with farmers and explore cost-saving opportunities.
- Utilize data to identify trends, optimize sourcing strategies, and measure procurement performance.
- Prepare reports to keep stakeholders informed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations and company policies.

Qualifications
